Responsive Control and Maneuverability

Quick maneuverability is critical to avoid en-route surface hazards and in tight rescue situations. The rounded hull with generous chines and large rear rudders provides quick driver response and a reassuring agility not found with other rescue vehicles, especially when breaking through thin ice or snow.

A specially-prepared Chevrolet 5.7 litre (350-V8) engine rated at 355 HP (horsepower upgrade available) has electronic ignition and a four-barrel marine carburetor for dependable start-ups and trouble-free performance. Power is delivered through a toothed drive belt to a 72" composite propeller with adjustable pitch. A hydraulic brake activates a spiked, stainless-steel plate on the rear transom for controlled stopping in a variety of ice conditions.

The engine is mounted deep in the hull for a low centre-of-gravity and ride stability. The multi-bladed propeller provides improved thrust and quieter operation.
